Whitney Lorene Wood on The Patternbase

Whitney Lorene Wood is an installation artist who uses sculpture, sound, film, and photography to explore one’s estranged relationship with an increasingly fragmented world.  Whitney graduated from the Kansas City Art Institute in Kansas City, MO and is currently an Olin Fellow at Washington University in St. Louis, MO.  She recently received the Collaborative Technology Center and Creative Research Institute Grant and was nominated for the prestigious Dedalus Foundation MFA Fellowship.  Her work has been supported by Open House Galleries, the Clara Eagle Gallery at Murray State University, the North Carolina Museum of Art, the SCC Gallery, and the MCC Longview Cultural Arts Center.
