About The Patternbase
The Patternbase is a leading textile design studio located in Chicago, Illinois. It was founded in 2011 by designers, Kristi O’Meara and Audrey Victoria Keiffer. We specialize in hand-illustrated, painted, and digitally rendered pattern design for the apparel and interiors industries. We are committed to creating and providing unique, compelling, trend-focused prints and illustrations that enable clients to become cutting edge in their market place. We aim to help your brand stand out from the rest, by providing the highest quality hand-illustrated designs you can find. Our mission is to be a source of innovative and contemporary inspiration to propel your product forward.
The Patternbase also serves as a resource and place of inspiration for designers and pattern lovers around the globe. We strive to provide our community with a plethora of valuable resources to help inspire and educate them throughout their creative endeavors. These include inspirational interviews and discussions with artists whose work revolves around the use of pattern and exhibitions and publications focused on presenting the work of emerging artists to a wider audience. Our goal is to bring creative minds together into a community where they can interact and learn from one another through a series of projects and discussions, and to offer opportunities in which friendships and relationships can be built through creative collaboration.
The Patternbase audience currently reaches over 80,000 readers, designers, artists, and relevant members of the international textile and surface design community, and continues to grow daily.

Kristi O’Meara is a painter and graphic designer. She received her B.F.A. in Painting from the Kansas City Art Institute in 2009, and has since had the opportunity to work with many inspirational companies and designers, such as fiber artist, Nick Cave, the high-end textile and wallpaper design company, Porter Teleo, and The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. Kristi is the Founder and Creative Director of The Patternbase.
Currently, Kristi works as a freelance textile and graphic designer, and is accepting commissions. She has just completed her first publication, Patternbase: Over 650 Contemporary Textile and Surface Designs, which is projected to be released by Thames & Hudson Publishing in June 2015.
Audrey Victoria Keiffer, Co-Founder, Editor-in-Chief, Designer

Audrey Victoria Keiffer is a textile designer, artist, and writer living in Chicago. She studied Fine Arts at the University of Missouri – Columbia, and received a B.A. in English from The University of Missouri – Kansas City in 2011. She is the Co-Founder and Editor-in-Chief of The Patternbase. Audrey acted as editor of The Patternbase’s forthcoming book, Patternbase: Over 650 Contemporary Textile and Surface Designs, which is projected to be released by Thames & Hudson Publishing in June 2015.
Currently, Audrey works as a freelance designer for Aaryn West and hunt+gather studio, among others.
